Mushroom Fair 2019

Come Join us this year for our annual mushroom fair! Topics this year include

• Taxonomy & ID (Group leader – Dave Wasilewski)- This booth will display freshly harvested local wild mushrooms, and have a section where visitors canhave their mushrooms they brought in identified.

• Culinary (Group leader – Shannon Brown)- This booth will address recipes, techniques (preservation & preparation), and safety aspect when usingwild mushrooms (Possibly incorporate HACCP)
• Medicinal (Group leader – Rosemary Vargo)- This booth will address how mushrooms have/are used for medicinal properties.
• Kids Corner (Group leader – Jean Whitesell)- This booth will have activities for kids to keep them busy and not handling the mushroom species- This booth will have a table for hand outs (trinkets from Phillips) for visitors
• Poisons (Group leader – Tom Jasonis)- This booth will address poisons that are associated with wild mushrooms- (possibly this will be set up as a floor display)
